Editor’s weekly round-up

What’s been going on this week at Durham Amnesty?

This week has been a busy one! Last Saturday we had our fantastic Write for Rights event. Lots of people came to write letters, thank you!

On Wednesday we had an action for Amnesty’s Stand Against Hate campaign. We stood outside of the Student Union encouraging people to write messages of love to those who had experienced hate. We had some really lovely and thoughtful messages. Thank you to everyone who took the time to write.

The meeting:

In our last meeting of the term we did some brainstorming of ideas for the new year. Lots of good things coming up!

Zoe also put us through our paces with an Amnesty themed quiz. (Time to brush up on our knowledge!)

We also had a social organised by our lovely social sec Florie, where we dressed up as our favourite human rights. That took some lateral thinking…

And finally:

Have a wonderful holiday! The Amnesty Durham blog will be back in January.
